As the world continues to battle against Covid-19, Zunheboto prays for protection

Pastors of various churches lead a prayer during inter-denomination prayer programme at the cultural hall in Zunheboto on Friday.

Dimapur, May 22 (EMN): An inter-denomination prayer programme “Zunheboto Prays for the World,” was held on Friday at the cultural hall in Zunheboto town.

According to a DIPR update, the event was organised by the Zunheboto Town Sumi Baptist Church (SBAK Aizuto) under the Pastor’s Union Zunheboto, strictly following the government protocol guidelines of social distancing and other necessary precautions.

The prayer programme was attended by various churches in Zunheboto and was led by associate pastor SBCZ Inoto Yeptho. Lotha Baptist church pastor Lawrence and Tenyimi church pastor Vechulo Doulo, prayed for World Health Organization, thanksgiving for the non-affected countries and states across the world and all spearheading world leaders and frontline workers. The gathering also prayed for the Naga students, workers and families stranded outside the state.

Invocation prayer was pronounced by Nepali church pastor Dawa Lama while keynote address was said by PUZ Chairman Rev. Ahoshe Yeptho, and the word of God was delivered by SDA church pastor Sunep Jurry.

The district deputy commissioner, Peter Lichamo thanked the church leaders and organisers. He also briefed about the global pandemic and precautionary measures to be followed for safety.

He appealed to the church leaders to cooperate with the guidelines provided by the government and to spread awareness about the pandemic through all possible means.
