What sadness to realise the pain that will accompany you now on as you drive past your uncle’s home on a regular day. The void feeling of heartache.
What’s sadder than not getting to meet and share in your brother’s thoughts and wishes before he breathed his last. Oh too soon!
Oh! What sadness to witness your brother-in-law come home to the place he grew up in, only to be rested in eternal peace.
What grief to muse on how life would still go on without you uncle!
Of how your grandchildren would one day learn about you, as we talk with sadness and sparkles in our eyes, of what a marvellous man you were, with so much generosity, so much humbleness, such uncanny sense of humour.
Always giving, always loving.
So dearly loved and adored.
Rest in peace Apu.

For your living God has always blessed us.
This Fathers’ Day, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you, without a father.
