Arunachal: Colonel conferred with Governor Gold medal

Dimapur, Feb. 24 (EMN): Colonel Amit Kumar Das, SM, commandant, Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N), was conferred with the prestigious Governor Gold Medal, Arunachal Pradesh for outstanding achievements in Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh on Feb. 21.
A defence update stated that, “the award is an apt recognition of concerted efforts of Khonsa Battalion towards maintaining peace and tranquility in Tirap district and along the Indo-Myanmar border for ensuring safety and security of the people”.
