Kohima, April 16 (EMN): Commemorating the World Art Day, the Nagaland Art Centre organised a art competition for junior and senior categories at IMC hall, Dimapur, on April 15 on the theme “Rapid urbanisation, cultural flux, and ecological degradation.” The competitions was supported by Tafma.

Keneingutuo David Sorunuo informed Eastern Mirror that a total of 25 participants from the commercial hub took part in the contest. It was informed that Srijana Khawas and Inalu Zhimo bagged the best artwork prizes in the junior and senior divisions respectively.

The top consolation prize were also awarded to Methshing H Phom and Longkhoi (both junior category) and Imsujungba and Temjensunep Longkumer (both senior category).

Renowned artists Dharmendra Prasad and Throngkiuba Yimchunger were the judges of the competition. It further informed that that the duo gave a career counselling and interactive session with the participants.
