Art and Culture gears up for Hornbill Festival

Dimapur, Nov. 26 (EMN): The department of Art and Culture is all set for the Hornbill Festival 2019 beginning from December 1 to the 10th.

A press release from Puchosale Yore, additional director of Art and Culture, stated that the department is preparing to host daily cultural performances in the main arena.

According to the programme, cultural troupes from various tribes from within and outside Nagaland will be showcasing their colourful traditional attires, music and dance.

The Artists’ Corner in the premises of the World War-II Museum at Kisama, and the Naga Shopping Arcade in Dimapur will be displaying and selling artwork, while the Archives’ Exhibition will be showcasing a collection of selected historical documents from public and private records. There will be reading facilities for interested students, scholars and researchers besides sale of departmental publications at the World War-II complex.

It stated that a place to visit and see will be the World War-II Museum. The museum will be opened to the public from 10 am to 4 pm, updates stated.
