Around 170 registered for Naga Wrestle Mania

Principal Correspondent Kohima, October 26 Around 170 wrestlers including juniors have registered to vie in the Naga Wrestle Mania-3 (King of Ring Series 2014) organised by Elite Entertainment Enterprise (3E) will be held on November 3 and 4 at Kohima Local Ground. This is the only weight category champion of the indigenous Naga style wrestling held in the state. Informing this in a release, the organisers said on November 3 preliminary rounds for Lightweight, Middleweight & Heavyweight would be held during the day while individual championships will be held at night. On November 4, Junior category Championship will be held during the day while King Of The Ring Championship would be held at night, where best 48 from Lightweight, Middleweight & Heavyweight would compete. Total prize money amounting to Rs. 5.24 lakh has been earmarked for winners in different categories of the mania, he said. The break is as follows – Champion – Rs. 50000, runners-up – Rs. 30000 and losing semi-finalist – Rs. 10000 each for all weight categories. Junior: Champion – Rs 10000; runners-up Rs. 5000 and losing semi-finalist – Rs. 2000 each. The prizes for the King of Ring Series are: Champion – Rs. 70,000 with motorbike; runners-up – Rs. 50,000 and losing semi-finalist – Rs. 20,000 each. Meanwhile, 3E Managing Director Kethosituo Mepfhüo has informed that registered wrestlesr to collect their ID card, by-laws & important guidelines from 3E office 3E Office, Dzevi Building, Opposite UBC, near Local Ground Kohima. He has asked all senior wrestlers to report at 8:45 am on November 3 for oath-taking while junior wrestlers must report at 10:30 am on November 4 for oath-taking. He warned that any wrestler failing to appear for oath-taking will be disqualified while their security deposit will be forfeited. He also informed that the tickets for spectators entry into the ground are as follows: Gallery – Rs. 50 per day and chair – Rs. 100 per day while donors with sheltered seats valid for two days and daily lunch packs is fixed at Rs. 1000.
