DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles (AR) on March 27 inaugurated a waiting shed at AK Industrial village, which was constructed under its civic action programme for the year 2023-24.
The waiting shed was inaugurated by Assam Rifles in the presence of Shikuto Zalipu, general secretary of Nagaland GBs’ Federation (NGBF), Toniho Sema of Western Sumi Hoho, all the GBs, chairmen, students and villagers of AK Industrial and nearby villages. Speaking on the occasion, the head GB and chairman of AK Industrial village lauded the efforts of Assam Rifles and expressed gratitude for the noble cause.
A defence release stated that Assam Rifles in Dhansiripar sub-division has been instrumental in executing numerous development works under its civic action programme. It was the first time for the Assam Rifles to reach the far flung areas of AK Industrial village near the Ntangki Reserve Forest.
A total of about 350 people were present at the inaugural function.
