Dimapur, Jan. 10 (EMN): Cadets of the Nation Cadet Corp (NCC) got a rare opportunity to witness the modern weapon displayed by the Assam Rifles at the ongoing NCC combined annual training camp, which is being held at Fazl Ali College in Mokokchung.
NCC cadets attending the combined annual training camp witnessed an impressive weapons display on January 10. The cadets were explained about the handling and use of various small arms like INSAS Rifles and LMG, AK 47, medium machine gun (MMG), 84mm carl gustav rocket launcher (RL), 9mm pistol etc, stated an update from NCC.
It stated that the cadets enthusiastically witnessed the demonstration and were keen to learn about the latest advanced weaponry used by the security forces.
It stated that JUO Merentemsu of Tuki College shared his experience of attending an army attachment camp at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
The Assam Rifles pipes and drums band enthralled the audience with their unique music on the legendary bagpipes accompanied by drums and bugles.
The event was organised as part of the ongoing combined annual training camp being conducted under the aegis of 25 Naga Bn NCC.
The camp commandant expressed his gratitude to Col. Viplove, commandant of 23 Assam Rifles, for providing the rare opportunity to the NCC cadets.
