AR conducts pre-recruitment screening, coaching class

[caption id="attachment_231896" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Two youths are seen undergoing pre-recruitment screening test during during an awareness programme organised by the Phek battalion of Assam Rifles at Jessami on Feb. 3.[/caption] Dimapur, Jan. 4 (EMN): The Phek battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a ‘pre-recruitment screening test’ at Jessami on Feb. 3 under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) with an aim to select meritorious candidates who will be given training for Army/Assam Rifles/Territorial Army recruitment rally. The programme was attended by youths from Chakhesang tribe, Jessami, Laniye and Lozaphemi villages. It was organised to motivate the youth to join security forces and to make them aware of the standards required to join the army before facing the actual recruitment rally. Documents were scrutinised and medical check-up done to make the youth aware of the required documents and medical standards required to join Army/Assam Rifles/ Territorial Army. The Phek battalion of AR also felicitated the candidates who cleared the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination-2019 of the Phek district on Feb. 4. It was to boost the morale and confidence of those who will join Sainik School Punglwa (Nagaland). A total of six out of the eight candidates, who were trained by the unit, finally cleared their entrance examination. Pre-entrance coaching classes for students The Jalukie battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR  organised coaching classes for students appearing for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalay (JNV) entrance examination for class IX at Jalukie. A total 179 students (79 for class IX and 100 for class VI) were registered for admission test from Jalukie region during the awareness programme. The examination for admission into class IX was conducted on Feb. 2.
