AR commemorates World Water Day by planting trees in Arunachal Pradesh

DIMAPUR — The Assam Rifles (AR)commemorated World Water Day by carruing out a tree plantation drive in Deban village of Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday.

As many as 480 saplings were planted during the plantation drive with active participation from the village authorities and locals, said an update received here.

The initiative was taken up with an aim to preserve and rejuvenate natural resources, which is vital for sustainable living. Acknowledging rivers as vital lifelines for communities and ecosystems, the AR also led the effort to protect local water bodies, said the update.
