The incessant rain in the recent past had caused severe damage to the roads connecting Dimapur and Kohima. It is commendable that the Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) had been ensuring that the Governmental Agencies enable the availability and smooth passage of essential commodities to Kohima. Besides this the KCCI is also keeping inflation under control and had been monitoring to ensure that substandard products do not invade the market in these hard times. It is with gratefulness that the undersigned request the KCCI to continue with the good works for the business community, which is in reality a service to the consumers.

While appreciating the KCCI, it would be wrong if we do not thank the Police Personel, the Traffic Personnel, Kohima Municipal Council, Medical Department, The Indian Red Cross Society, The Consumer Protection Agencies, The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority and the Search and Rescue Team under it, various NGOs and the Youth Organizations of the Villages along the roads leading to Kohima. We request you also to continue to tirelessly continue your good works. In the best of your capabilities.

Amongst the thousands of business establishments in Kohima, the Naga Business Association, Kohima (NBAK), has strength of only about 400. With the blessings of the Naga Hohos, Angami Students Union, Naga Students Federation, Kohima Village Council and ACAUT the Association is growing. It is encouraging to see that through the support of these NGOs the Naga Political Groups had also come forward to encourage Nagas to venture into business by relaxing their terms. We would like to thank all of the above and also pray for your continual support.

We feel that we the Nagas had just begun to understand what business is. It is thus a fervent appeal that the KCCI, the NBAK, the Consumer Protection Forum and especially the forum under the Law College Student’s Union to continue to help the business community of Kohima. We the business community in turn shall ensure that quality products and justice to the consumers is maintained and improved.
