Recently,Dimapurians have seen dustbins been installed in few auto-rickshaws .Though we are not a frequent auto traveler, we got into this auto and saw the dustbin installed and few dry wastes inside it. Came to know through media and the organisers- CAN Youth Dimapur that it is an initiative to fight against littering of wastes in our town by travellers. It is really an innovative idea which should be appreciated by every citizens and support such initiatives. It is also learnt that this initiative is launched in collaboration with A Better Dimapur and Dimapur District Auto-rickshaw Drivers Union powered by Dimapur Municipal Council which is really encouraging to see even other organisation is in support of such initiative. Even other districts should replicate such initiatives. As the organisation takes it further in the coming days with their phase-wise intervention, let’s all support such initiative and make use of the services and make our town a cleaner and better place.
