For the last few years various descriptions were branded against the deplorable roads of Nagaland especially in Dimapur city. Road being one of the most essential parts of human needs, in spite of so many laudable developments taking place in Nagaland under the present Government, people were disgruntled and rather apprehensive of even the survival of the DAN Government itself because of the pitiable road conditions. The good image of the DAN Government was vanishing into thin air with the people speculating that DAN-III will face its waterloo sooner than later.
However, as the saying goes” Better late than never”. The bold intervention of our Hon’ble R&B Minister Azo Nienu amidst a fund crunch has brought a ray of hope finally rising in the horizon of our long abandoned roads. General public and the business community are equally appreciative of the work which is going on war footing under the direct supervision of our concerned Hon’ble Minister who happens to be visiting the ongoing works almost once in a week where the people of Dimapur are the witnesses. Within his short stint as our sitting R&B Minister, a yeomen work done by his department so far in dimapur city roads in just 2 ½ months time is worth admiring by everyone.
Hats off to our Miniter Kuzholuzho Nienu for proving his worth as a Workaholic Minister conferred to him by confederation of All India Universities few years back.
Now is the high time for Nagas to realize that gone are the days of exhausted and incompetent old Ministers. Today we are in the fast moving generation of a competitive world where so many dedicated and sincere leaders like Azo Nienu are the need of the hour, who is dynamic, young, honest, hardworking and most importantly a practical man. We wish him good health and brighter future in the days to come.
It is our solemn message to our Naga people especially the energetic young folk irresptive of the tribes and colors to co-operate with the PWD department as this gigantic road task requires a joint effort from the public too. And we also sincerely request the central Government to sanction adequate fund for our state roads as early as possible as we are clearly lagging behind other states of India in this sector.
We highly appreciate the bold initiative taken up by our present DAN Government in giving due importance to dimapur roads, as dimapur is the only cosmopolitan and common city of all the tribes in Nagaland. All these new and worthy developments taking place in this city under the able leadership of our Hon’ble Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio should be appreciated not only by citizens of dimapur but by every Nagas. And also we thank our Hon’ble Chief Minister for giving the right job to a right man.
