Apple releases iOS 17 Beta 2 for developers
Apple just released iOS 17 beta 2 for developers and the new update brings a host of new changes and features.
One new addition in iOS 17 beta 2 is the “Tap to AirDrop” feature. It prompts users to bring two iPhones close together to start a transfer.
In the Settings app of iOS 17 beta 2, a dedicated section for the Fitness app has been introduced. This new section empowers users to manage app permissions and gain insights into how their data is handled, offering more transparency and control.
The Standby mode, which debuted in beta 1, has improved in beta 2. Users now can disable non-critical notifications by simply toggling a switch in the Standby settings. This prevents regular notifications from hijacking the screen while in Standby mode.
Users can now enjoy enhanced control over their music experience with a new toggle feature on the Apple Music app. The feature allows them to adjust the crossfade length between songs, ranging from 1 to 12 seconds.
Additionally, there’s a noticeable change in the Software Update settings page. When users update from beta 1 to beta 2 of iOS 17, they will encounter a refreshed page featuring more prominent buttons for immediate or scheduled updates.
