Apex Legends finally gets crossplay, beta testing from October 6
Dimapur, Oct. 1 (EMN): Respawn Entertainment is finally going to enable crossplay in Apex Legends. The highly anticipated feature, which Apex Legends players were crying out for, will begin beta tests from October 6.
Respawn announced the brand new feature along with new skins for Octane, Caustic and Wraith after it dropped a new ‘Apex Legends Aftermarket Collection event’ trailer on its YouTube channel. Apart from crossplay and new skins, there is a new limited-time mode called ‘Flashpoint’ which lets you regenerate health and shields while removing health and shield loot across the map.
The Apex Legends cross-platform beta starts October 6 across Xbox One, PS4, and Origin for PC. However, players will have to enable the crossplay feature from the game’s menu or else the default setting will continue to separate PC and console players.
Respawn had promised crossplay all the way back in June and with Apex Legends set for release on both Steam and Nintendo Switch sometime this year, enabling cross-platform play could be a masterstroke by the company and it certainly looks like an exciting time for the Apex community.
