Dimapur, March 20 (EMN): The Nagaland Tribe Hohos and the Working Committee (WC), and NNPGs met at Niathu Resort, Chumoukedima, Dimapur on March 20 and came to a consensus that “the peace and unity process among the Naga political groups is the need of the hour.”

The Nagaland Tribal Hohos also agreed to work together towards bringing all Naga political groups to a common understanding.

“The house acknowledged the progress of the political negotiations between WC and GOI and also recalled the latter’s position that a single agreement is on the anvil. On this, the house reaffirmed that it is a legitimate aspiration of the Nagas to live together as one, however, taking contemporary political realities into consideration, what is honourable and acceptable to the Nagas at the present time must be pursued and concluded by the two negotiating parties, i.e GoI and WC at the earliest,” read a joint statement signed by 13 Naga organisations.
