Diphu, Oct.8 (EMN): On the occasion of centenary birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) is organising essay writing competition on Nov. 19, 2017.
Informing this through a press note, Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee (KADC) stated that the competition will be on the topic “Indira Gandhi-a far sighted leader” for students from class-VIII to University level.
The KADC has invited interested students’ to participate in the event and win prize money. The participants are to send their neatly hand written or type copy of the essay addressed to APCC in charge Administrative, General Secretary Bichitra Chaudhury, Rajiv Bhawan G.S Road,Gawahati-5 on or before Oct.19, 2017. The essay should at least contain 1200 words in English, Assamese or Hindi, it informed.
The competition has been categorised into three groups along with prizes: Under Group A (Class-VIII to Class-X) Rs. 10,000/-, Rs. 8000/- and Rs. 5000/- for 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Under Group-B category (Class-XI to Class-XII) Rs. 15,000/-, Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 8000/- for 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and under Group-C category (Degree level to Master Degree level) Rs. 20,000/-, Rs. 15,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- for 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
