Itanagar, Aug. 15 (PTI): Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today exhorted the people to join hands with the government for successful implementation of the developmental programmes and policies it has undertaken. Unfurling the National Tri-colour here on the occasion of 72nd Independence Day, Khandu said the philosophy of his government has been inspired by Deen Dayal Upadhayay’s vision of ‘Antyodaya’, an all-inclusive growth where the government reaches to the last man. “My dream is to make Arunachal a state where youth are not job seekers but job givers by making the state a centre for entrepreneurship. I wish to make the state the tourist destination of India and to bring the best health facilities,” he said. Presenting the road map for a developed Arunachal, Khandu said he wants to make it corruption- and crime-free state, an industry-friendly state and a state that is self-reliant in energy. “Had our state’s hydropower potential would have been realised 40 years back, we would have been one of the largest producers of electricity in the country by now,” he said. “Transparency, integrity and honesty have been the sole mantra in our journey and I have given a government that has zero tolerance towards corruptions,” he said. Khandu said the government has launched the Chief Minister’s Arogya Arunachal Yojana, a health insurance scheme, to provide financial coverage for a family upto INR 5 lakh per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation.
