DIMAPUR — The Chümoukedima Ao Senso Telongjem (CAST) and Chümoukedima Ao Lanur Telongjem (CALT) have condemned the “deceit and illegal activities” of Merentoba Imsong and Sentimongla Imsong, residents of Seiurüzha colony, Chümoukedima town.

In a joint condemnation note, CAST and CALT stated that unions came to know of the illegal activities carried out by the two accused through the ‘Public Information’ issued by Chümoukedima Village Council dated May 11, 2023.

“CAST and CALT strongly condemn these two culprits and laud the Chümoukedima Village Council for their timely intervention and handing them over to the lawful authority.

“CAST and CALT also advocate upon law enforcing authority to award benefitting punishment upon the two culprits commensurate with the illegal acts they have committed,” the note stated.

Further, CAST and CALT warned fellow Ao citizens of Chümoukedima from indulging in illegal activities that bring shame and bad repute to the Ao community.

As per the ‘Public Information’ issued by Chümoukedima Village Council (CVC), the “modus operandi” of the two accused “involved manufacturing fake CVC land registration certificate and acquiring loans by mortgaging the fake documents.”
