Dimapur, June 10 (EMN): Dimapur area Ao Baptist Churches and Ao civil society co-ordination committee on Covid-19 met non-medical frontline workers in and around Dimapur on Thursday and prayed for their safety and well being.

An update from the committee stated that it had also provided refreshment to them as a mark of appreciation for their patriotic service and sacrifice rendered during this time of pandemic. The non-medical frontline workers, which the committee met, included DMC sanitation workers, police personnel and officers and field staff of the Electrical department.

Meanwhile, Dimapur and Chumoukedima divisions of the Power department have appreciated the Dimapur area Ao Baptist Churches and Ao civil society coordination committee on Covid-19 for their prayer support and food packages provided to the field staff on June 10. Amid all criticisms received by the department for erratic power supply, it stated that the humanitarian gesture has brought huge encouragement to all the staff, who are braving the Covid-19 pandemic daily to ensure that power supply is available at every hospital and home. It further looked forward to their valuable co-operation even in the days to come.
