Ao community provides lunch to frontline workers

Dimapur, June 1 (EMN): The Dimapur area Ao Baptist Churches and Ao civil societies provided lunch to the frontline workers (medical fraternity) in all Covid dedicated hospitals and centres in Dimapur, Chuomukedima and Medzephima.

An update from the community convenor, Supu Jamir, and the secretary, Imti Jamir, stated that the committee provided lunch at CIHSR on May 29, followed with lunch and prayers at Dimapur District Hospital, CMO, Eden Hospital, Faith Hospital, Zion Hospital, Olive Hospital, Nikos Hospital, Covid Care Centre Chuomukedima, Covid Care Centre Medzephima on June 1.

The committee has appreciated the Ao Baptist Churches of Diphupar, Aoyimti, Padumpukhuri, Aoyimkum, East Dimapur, Chuomukedima and Nukmen (Darogapathar), who had volunteered to prepare the lunch following proper SOPs. It looked forward to more contributions as they fight the battle together in Dimapur and beyond. It also assured to continue providing support and assistance to frontline workers even in the days to come.

It also mentioned that the Dimapur area Ao Baptist Churches and Ao civil societies, in collaboration with the state government, had successfully managed three quarantine centres earlier in 2020 at Dimapur Government College.

Meanwhile, the committee further informed that the ‘Meal for Covid warriors’ programme would continue in all the Covid hospitals and Care Centres in Dimapur for some more days.
