ANTA plea to book private taxi driver

EMN DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 6 The All Nagaland Taxi Association, Dimapur unit has requested the police to book one private vehicle driver one Alem Ao. In a press release the ANTA said a private vehicle bearing registration No NL02C- 6438 (Maruti Alto) regularly plying as taxi between Dimapur and Kohima.Being a non-member of the association, the release said ANTA Dimapur unit has reportedly warned him many times but Alem allegedly had not heeded to the warnings and on September 6, the ANTA Dimapur unit on routine checking for private vehicle, Alem was caught with passengers, it stated. However, on being asked to stop, he allegedly attempted on the life of ANTA action committee convener by trying to run over him by his vehicle. However, the convenor fortunately escaped with minor injuries, it stated. Further, the association has warned all private vehicles plying as taxi between Dimapur and Kohima found picking passengers at any place in and around Dimapur would be strictly deal with.
