THE All Nagaland Schools Teachers Association (ANSTA) has urged the Mission Director, State Mission Authority (SSA), Nagaland to expedite transaction process and credit whatever amount has been earmarked for the salary of SSA appointees to the account of School Education at the earliest. The association has made the request so that pending salaries of the aggrieved teachers who have not been paid for the last three months from June to August may be paid early. The ANSTA has also requested the Directorate of School Education to disburse the salary to the effected teachers at the earliest possible time as soon as received it from the SSA authority.
In a representation to the Mission Director, ANSTA president Ponchulo Wanth and treasurer Temjenyapang has acknowledged the sincere effort of SSA authority in getting necessary sanction order from MHRD for release of fund for the salary of teachers appointed against SSA post creation.

However, the association pointed out that the funding pattern of MHRD is such that the fund has been sanctioned against the headwise of expenditure to be incurred in the project. Therefore, the amount sanctioned for the salary and allowance of the teachers appointed against SSA post creation should be used judiciously for that purpose only, it said.
The association further reiterated that the whole salary component sanctioned by MHRD should be deposited to the account of S/E at one go unlike the present practice of crediting only for a period of three months so as to avoid the current type of problem in the near future.
