Dimapur, June 5 (EMN): All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has appealed to all the agitating teachers to put on hold their agitations and resume normal school duties for the sake of innocent students.
ANSTA press release stated that government school teachers have missed many assignments in view of the state assembly election held in February and the Lok Sabha by- election in May thereby adversely affecting the yearly academic activities.
The yearly activities were affected as thousands of government school teachers were deputed for election related duties, while many government schools were used as venues for election trainings and security accommodations for weeks together.
In the light of the above stated circumstances, ANSTA has fervently appealed to all the agitating teachers to put on hold their agitations and resume normal school duties for the sake of the innocent students.
Meanwhile, ANSTA also strongly urged the government to take up the issues on top priority so as to resolve the death – lock without further delay. At the same time, it also urged the agitating teachers to reconsider their decision and allow the government/ department to work on certain demands agreed in principle with the affected employees, if any, without further hindrance and disturbances.
