DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA), Dimapur unit, felicitated 57 HSLC and HSSLC toppers, along with 42 teachers, during a programme held at Holy Cross Higher Secondary School on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Lokayuta Nagaland Nino Iralu said that organising such events every year is an impressive gesture for the student community and also the parents.
Quoting Nelson Mandela, Iralu said that, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" and that "Intelligence plus character is the goal of true education."
She also appreciated and expressed her happiness to the school authorities and the subject teachers who have mentored their students so well, and the parents for parenting and mentoring their children.

She mentioned that the students have completed a chapter of their life with dedication, determination, hard work and perseverance, and so it was a fitting occasion to celebrate their “victory and achievement.”
The Lokayuta noted that “true success today goes beyond degrees, it depends on confidence, adaptability, efficiency, and, most importantly, humility in how they treat others.”
She asserted that each student had a different path, different struggles, and different timing, so there was no need to compete with others and that they should instead believe in their own uniqueness.
Furthermore, Iralu said that as the students stepped into a challenging new phase of life, their inner drive should push them forward, no matter their background or limitations, and that they should believe that what others could achieve, they could too.
Iralu added that when one commits to oneself sincerely, things fall into place in God’s time, noting that success and victory come at the right moment. At the same time, she reminded that failure and setbacks are not opposite of success but are part of it.
She noted that in life, many of them would achieve things beyond their original dreams, sometimes when they simply kept moving forward and allowed opportunities to unfold.
