Dimapur, Feb. 22 (EMN): In yet another ultimatum to the government of Nagaland, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on Saturday asked the former to take corrective measures within 15 days to address at least four of its demands.
In a representation to the chief minister, the federation sought approval and implementation of the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) policy forwarded to the government by the NSSB committee within the stipulated period.
Further the NSF demanded the state government to: issue notification scrapping all departmental exams; issue notification banning direct recruitment to all group C posts; and issue notification stating that ‘group C’ posts shall be requisitioned through open recruitment by the soon-to-be set-up Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB).
The federation also resolved to ‘boycott all departmental exams’.
“The federation shall also be maintaining a strict watch over any new developments pertaining to the above stated demands and any actions in contravention to the same by any department shall be dealt with in a befitting manner by the Federation. The NSF, therefore, appeal to the government of Nagaland to comply with the demands of the federation and enforce the same. Failure to do which the federation shall be compelled to take up its own course of stern action until the demands of the Federation are met,” read the statement.
