DIMAPUR — More than one lakh people gathered at the Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex in Dimapur on Friday for the final day of the Nagaland Revival and Healing Festival 2025, an additional service arranged by The Gatekeepers.

By afternoon, the venue was filled to capacity, with vehicles parked along the approach roads after the main parking area was full.

The evening began with ‘Apostle’ Ankit Sajwan and his wife, Monika Sajwan, washing the feet of attendees from different communities—an act that was intended to reflect the biblical account of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples.

Addressing the gathering, Sajwan said that although Friday marked the closing service of the festival, “the revival is not going to stop.”

He told the crowd that the message of renewal should continue beyond the event and be carried into daily life.

Sajwan spoke about his understanding of Christianity, saying it is “the union of God with humanity,” rather than solely ministry or religious activity.

He said that when believers understand this union, they grow in their relationship with Christ and “sin loses its power.” He maintained that healing is central to Christian faith, describing it as part of the “full benefit” of the Gospel.

Quoting the Bible, he said that salvation begins with belief that also opens Christians to all that Christ offers, including healing.

According to him, religion often stops where “God has placed a comma,” and that Christ offers forgiveness, restoration and healing.

He added that when the Bible speaks of being saved, it is not limited to forgiveness alone. Citing verses from the Bible, he said the crowds that followed Jesus did so because they witnessed healing, and argued that healing today continues to draw people to faith.

Sajwan told the crowd that many people are “tired of hearing only what happened 2,000 years ago” and want to hear how faith is lived in the present. He said healing begins when people desire it, and described it as God working through individuals to strengthen others.

He added that healing should not be seen as contrary to preaching, but part of Christian service.

He encouraged those present to reject the idea that God no longer heals and warned against sharing that message publicly. According to him, testimonies from the festival will continue to emerge.

He also said that criticism of healing within churches echoed the reaction of some religious leaders during the time of Jesus.

Sajwan said he believed “a fresh outpouring” would take place in Nagaland and that young people would be central to it.

He described Generation Z as a group that would “walk in prophetic faith” and be visible in churches rather than in nightlife spaces. He said healing is important because “we are called to set the captives free” and that a broken world needs practical expressions of compassion.

He urged the crowd not to be ashamed of their faith and told them to share their experiences publicly. He encouraged attendees to post their testimonies on social media, saying that doing so would help communicate the message of the festival. He added that those who do not wish to hear the testimonies “can simply cover their ears.”

In a brief interview with the press after the curtains fell on the Nagaland Revival and Healing Festival , the preacher said that he had anticipated such a massive crowd, but his primary aim was to strengthen the faith of Nagaland’s people.

He described arriving in Nagaland as “coming back to family” and expressed his willingness to return whenever God permits.
