Annual games and sports of SXHSS Shamator underway

DIMAPUR — The annual games and sports of St. Xavier Hr. Sec. School (SXHSS), Shamator, began on Tuesday with Chuba Temjen, Deputy Commissioner of Shamator, attending the inaugural event.

According to a press release, the DC emphasised the importance of sports in developing physical and mental well-being, discipline, and teamwork while speaking on the occasion.

He said that sports are an integral part of education, fostering friendship, healthy competition, and character building. He added that individuals will not be defined by where they come from but by where they want to go and what they wish to achieve in life.
