Dimapur, March 20 (EMN): The annual Designers Gala Spring-Summer 2021 was held on Saturday to showcase and promote the talent and creativity of designers of the 2019-2020 batch of Incessant Welfare Society Nagaland (IWSN) training Centre at Hotel Acacia in Dimapur.
The programme was powered by TK Herbal and organised by IWSN.
Administrator of IWSN training centre, Dimapur, Azungla Imsong informed Eastern Mirror said the show was organised to promote the fashion designs of the centre, to promote and provide a platform to those students who have obtained training course in fashion designing.
She informed that if people are interested in the designer’s clothes they can check the IWSN website, Instagram and also approach the designer’s at IWSN training centre.
At the Designers’ Gala, the collections were based on Naga-western wear inspired by the cultural diversity of Nagaland incorporating contemporary cuts and silhouette.
Meanwhile, the second category was casual wear based on the theme ‘curiosity’ which was inspired by the human exploration to Mars.
The third collection was based on Indo-western wear which was inspired by nature during the pandemic and the fourth collection category was evening wear, titled ‘twilight’ inspired by the mood of the evening.
The show consisted of 14 designers from the IWSN training centre, while Sanjeev Tamang was the co-ordinator and director of the show.
