DIMAPUR — With the annual High School Leaving Certificate examinations beginning on Monday, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has wished the students the ‘best of luck.’
“NBSE wishes all the students best of luck for the upcoming board exams,” it wrote on X.
For the HSLC exams which will begin on Feb. 12, a total of 22,136 candidates have been registered and they are scheduled to sit for their examination at 95 centres. Another 449 candidates will take the HSLC Compartmental Examination at 16 centres.
As per data available on the NBSE portal, a total of 17,911 candidates are enrolled for the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate examinations which will commence from Feb. 13. Out of the total, 14,167 are from the Arts stream, 949 from Commerce, and 2,521 from Science.
The candidates will be taking the exams at 68 centres across the State while 274 additional candidates will appear under the compartmental category in 20 examination centres.
Simultaneously, the Class XI Promotion Examination 2024 will be conducted from Feb. 12 onwards, for 20,166 students from 185 registered higher secondary schools across Nagaland.
All the exams will go on till March 6.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio also took to X to extend ‘best wishes’ to the students.
“…I urge you all to study hard, stay focussed, be confident and give your best. Wishing you all good health and may God bless your efforts with success,” he wrote on X.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton also posted on X, advising the students to approach the exams with confidence, calm, and clarity of mind.
“Remember, success is not just about marks, but the journey of growth and learning you embark on. May you all excel and emerge victorious in every challenge ahead. Good luck!,” he added.
