Annual administrative reports laid on day-two of 13th NLA session

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on day-two of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) presented the following annual administrative reports: Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (NSMDC) 2020-2021; State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) 2020-2021; Youth Resources and Sports 2020-2021; Industries and Commerce 2020-2021; Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2020-2021; Excise and Prohibition 2020-2021 and Chief Electoral Officer 2020-2021.

The minister for Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu laid the annual administrative reports of – Planning and coordination 2020-2021 and Land Revenue 2020-2021.

Meanwhile, chief minister Neiphiu Rio also laid the Annual Report 2017-2018 of the Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (NSMDC); Annual Report 2018-2019 of the Nagaland Information Commission and Nagaland Food Security Rules 2016 of the Food and Civil Supplies Department.

Assembly committee reports

Member of the Assurance Committee (2020-2021), Keneizhakho Nakhro presented a copy of the ninety sixth and ninety seventh reports of the Committee on Government Assurances (8th and 15th Sessions of the 12th Nagaland Legislative Assembly) under Rule 214 (1).

While chairman of the committee on Public Undertakings, Mhathung Yanthan presented a copy each for 87th, 88th, 89th and 90th reports on the examination of the audit reports paragraph contained in the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the years 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016 pertaining to the Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation (NSMDC) Limited under the department of Geology and Mining.

He also presented 91st and 92nd report on the examination of the audit paragraph contained in the Comptroller and Auditor general of India report for the year 2012-2013 and 2015-2016 pertaining to the Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC) under the department of Industries and Commerce.

Further, he presented the 93rd report on the examination of the audit paragraph that appeared in the report of the Controller and Auditor General of India for the year 2012-2013 relating to the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC) Ltd. under the department of Industries and Commerce.

Meanwhile, chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, K Tokugha Sukhalu presented the 123rd and 124th report of the Committee on Public Accounts (2020-2021)on the examination of the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 on the state finances audit report and audit reports on the social, economic, revenue and general sectors.

Rio introduced ‘The Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2020’ to the house, which the Speaker had assented to take up the bill on Tuesday.
