[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hen activist Anna Hazare resumes his anti-corruption campaign after the Delhi assembly polls more Stars will be born. Arvind Kejriwal, Kumar Viswas, Ashutosh, Shazia Ilmi and many others became national stars overnight (Kiran Bedi was already a star then) in the first phase of Anna Hazare’s agitation. Now, with the announcement by Anna Hazare to have another inning certain vested interests are very well looking for avenues to make it to Anna’s platform for it is the best launch-pad to stardom. In his village Ralegan Siddhi on Wednesday afternoon the anti-corruption crusader had told a television channel that he would launch fresh agitation against Narendra Modi government on Lokpal, black money after the Delhi assembly polls. ‘The 77-year-old Gandhian said that it was clear that Prime Minister Modi is not serious about fighting corruption. He said that in eight months, the government has not given any priority to corruption and there has been no progress on the Lokpal law.’Anna Hazare’s original team may not be seen in the next phase of agitation but you will definitely see people swarming around him in the dais. In the first two days of the agitation hardly anyone of them, except for Anna Hazare, will be recognized by the public when they turn on their favourite television news channels. In the course of time faces of these people around the Crusader will become more familiar with the general public. Later, a situation will arise where certain names (people around Anna) are needed to be mentioned in the news (print/electronic). Once that stage is reached, new Stars are born but only to get disappeared in the murky political waters of today’s India. Here, the general public should be cautious that they are not hoodwinked by these scoundrels.
