DIMAPUR — The 31st state-level Hindi Diwas hosted by the Tseminyu unit of All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) was celebrated at Baptist Higher Secondary School in Tseminyu town with Jwenga Seb, MLA and chairman of Tseminyu DPDB, as the special guest.

The event was attended by Hindi teachers from all the districts of Nagaland. Hindi Diwas is celebrated annually on September 14.

Speaking on the occasion, the special guest commended the efforts of Hindi teachers in Nagaland for promoting the language among the students. He stated that it would not have been made possible without their hard work and dedication.

He has attributed the enthusiasm and interest in Hindi among the students to the contributions of all the teachers, stated an update from ANHTU Tseminyu unit.

“You have not only taught a language but also imparted a culture, a thought and an identity. Through your efforts, the students here are not only becoming proficient in the Hindi language but are also connecting with other parts of the country,” Seb said.

The special guest also congratulated all the students who are learning Hindi language with sincerity and diligence. He added that their desire to learn Hindi would make the national language stronger.

“You should remember that language is not just a medium of communication but it is also an expression of thoughts and emotions,” he added.

He requested all to make the Hindi language a part of life as it would not only develop personality but also strengthen the unity and integrity of the country.

Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) also observed Hindi Fortnight from September 1 to the 14th by organising a series of exciting competitions. The event was aimed at instilling a deeper understanding of Hindi as an official language of the country and its significance among cadets while honing their literary and communication skills.

The competitions were part of the school’s ongoing co-curricular inter-house events, designed to foster teamwork, creativity, and healthy rivalry.
