DIMAPUR — All India Federation of University and College Teachers’ Organisation (AIFUCTO) and All Nagaland Government College Teachers’ Association (ANGCTA), in collaboration with Kohima Science College Teachers’ Association (KSCTA), would organise a two-day national executive committee (NEC) meeting-cum-national seminar on ‘NEP 2020: Envisioning quality higher education’ on June 9 and 10 at Kohima Science College in Jotsoma.
An update from ANGCTA stated that the two-day programme would be addressed by Temjen Imna Along, minister of Higher Education and Tourism, as the chief patron. Other speakers of the inaugural ceremony would include Prof. Kesab Bhattacharya, president of AIFUCTO; Prof. Arun Kumar, general secretary of AIFUCTO; and Prof. M Lokendro Singh, national secretary of NE, AIFUCTO.
The activities of the seminar would include research paper presentations from teachers and scholars across the country related to the theme of the seminar. The seminar would have participants from all over country.
It stated that an approximate 300 members are expected to attend the programme.
Report further stated that Anenla T Sato, commissioner and secretary of Higher and Technical Education, government of Nagaland, and Dr. A Nshoga, director of Higher Education, government of Nagaland, are the patrons of the national seminar.
