Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) will organise a one-day discourse on demographic threats and economic sustainability vis-à-vis unemployment and self employment on May 18 at AMK building, Kohima, to be hosted by the Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho.
AYO president Neinguvotuo Krose said the event is being organised to address the pressing issues and challenges of random influx of illegal immigrants and the threats posing to the society. Besides, he stated that Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) is one major concern which is likely to have huge impact.
He has asked to ponder upon how the people are prepared to face if it is blatantly imposed on them.
The lecture on the subject matters would be delivered by Savi Liegise, social worker, and Richard Belho, entrepreneur and chairman of Zynorique.
Meanwhile, AYO has requested members from Angami Public Organisation (APO), Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho (AMK), Angami Gazetted Officer’s Krotho (AGOK), Angami Sports Association (ASA), Angami Students’ Union (ASU), Southern Angami Public Organisation, Western Angami Public Organisation, Northern Angami Public Organisation, Chakhro Public Organisation, all Angami village council chairmen and secretaries, all Angami village youth organisation presidents and secretaries, Angami seniors citizens, AYO senior leaders, intellectuals and Angami concerned citizens to attend the programme.
All participants are requested to wear one Angami traditional dress.
