Dimapur, Feb. 2 (EMN): The 46th Angami Sports Association (ASA) wrestling meet will be held on Feb. 15 and 16 at Khuochiezie (Kohima local ground) with Er. Keneilhoulie Keditsu, Rtd. chief engineer & former president of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) as the guest of honour for the opening ceremony.
Naga style wrestling will be held on Feb.15 and free style wrestling on the 16th. 60 wrestlers (15 from each constituent unit) in Naga style wrestling shall vie for the championship from all the four units; Chakhroma Sports Association, Northern Angami Sports Association, Southern Angami Sports Association and Western Angami Sports Association and about 80 wrestlers will take part in the free style wrestling. Besides, there will be free style wrestling for junior category below 17 years.
For Naga style wrestling, the championship will walk home with a cash prize of INR 1,50,000, the 1st runner-up with INR 1,00,000, the 2nd runner-up with INR 70,000 and the 3rd runner-up with INR 50,000.
All the quarter finalists will be rewarded INR 10,000 each.
