Dimapur, May 30 (EMN): The Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho (AMK), an apex women organisation from the Angami community, has honoured the HSLC and HSSLC toppers from its community at AMK Ki in Kohima on May 30.
Lauding the 11 Angami toppers, including 10 female and one male, AMK president Kevinourheno Seyie, remarked that outstanding performance and doing better than the rest surely does take more than ambition and putting an extra hour of hard-work.
“As parents and elders we look up to you for the future of our nation,” she said. She maintained that God calls the young to be an example to others. She has encouraged the toppers work harder sincerely and honestly as they start a new chapter in life.
President of Angami Public Organisation (APO), Kepelhousie Terhüja, has acknowledged the efforts of the toppers and lauded especially the female students for excelling better their male counterpart. He encouraged the male students to work harder and perform better in the future.
Appreciating AMK for encouraging and honouring the toppers, he assured that APO would make efforts in taking over such activity in order to bring about more competitive spirit among the younger generation. He also wished them success in their future endeavours.
The toppers in HSLC were Vivotsonuo Sorhie, Purino Neikha, Vimeno Nakhro Noune-ü Z Yashü of Mezhür Higher Secondary School; Neingusanuo Kire of Northfield; and Nongoto Lcho of Coraggio.
The HSSLC toppers in Arts stream were Vikedono Seyie of Rüzhükhrie GHSS Kohima; Mhasilenuo Mechülho, Visakhonuo Kulnu, and Keneituonuo Semou of Mezhür Higher Secondary School. Virienuo Emilia Solo of Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, was topper in the science stream.
