Angami Students’ Union Bangalore (ASUB) holds freshers’ day
DIMAPUR — The Angami Students’ Union Bangalore (ASUB) held its 23rd freshers’ day on September 7 at the Students Christian Movement of India premises, where Vizosielie Rürhie and Rokovinuo Meze were crowned Mr. and Miss Freshers, respectively.
The guest speaker for the event was Kevi Naleo, senior vice president at GMoney, a fintech company specialising in healthcare systems, according to a press release.
Naleo, in her speech, stressed the importance of staying connected to one’s cultural heritage and roots, regardless of where life leads or what one achieves. She also highlighted the significance of financial independence, especially in cities like Bangalore.
Sharing her personal journey, recounting how she left Nagaland at the age of 18 to pursue her dreams, Naleo encouraged the freshers to work diligently towards their goals. She advised choosing friends wisely, surrounding oneself with positive influences, and cultivating meaningful relationships.
She also cautioned against the pitfalls of success, reminding students that achievements should not inflate one’s ego.
