Dimapur, June 14 (EMN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on Monday warned the state government of ‘intensified and indefinite digital protest’ unless it addresses the enquiry committee report of fund utilisation of Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu (KPA) before June 20.

The student body said that the government continues to remain silent on issue and was “wilfully neglecting to deliver justice for the students’ community” terming it as “no less than assassination of students’ rights.”

‘After continued digital protest, it was on October 17, 2020, that an enquiry committee was set up to probe into the fund utilisation at KPA under AICTE-NEQIP with a time period of three months. The state government must appreciate the cooperation of the union as solicited, even after the expiry of the stipulated time.

“However, the cooperation is tossed out as the state government till date is silent on the enquiry committee’s report and action taken. ‘Assurance after assurance’ has become the trademark of the government in regard to the said fund utilisation issue and the ANCSU can no longer allow such routine to continue. The delay in bringing out the committee report only indicates the inefficiency of the committee or the intention of the state government to rescue those involved in the matter,” read the statement.
