ANCSU holds 2nd union assembly

Dimapur, July 22 (EMN): The 2nd union assembly of the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) was conducted at Sakus Mission College auditorium in Dimapur on July 20, with 30 affiliated units in attendance.
According to a release from the union informed, the union deliberated about the Kohima Science College Jotsoma land encroachment issue whereby it was decided by the house to wait till August 9 as proposed by the district administration for 40 days.

It also informed that Thejasenuo Kire of St. Joseph’s College Jakhama was inducted as the women coordinator of ANCSU for the tenure 2017-19.
The Mountain View Christian College Students Council Kohima was suspended till further notice due to the declaration of the college as non- functional, the union informed.

During the assembly, members have discussed and deliberated on issues such as Kohima Science College land encroachment issue, undergoing MBBS/BDS and other professional courses, 2017-18 scholarship, and immediate detachment of teachers attached ‘self-styled’ as VIPs, directorate, DEOs, SDEOs and other missions.
