Dimapur, March 16 (EMN): While appreciating the department of Higher and Technical Education for requisitioning 105 assistant professors and librarian posts to the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC), the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has appealed to requisition five additional post of assistant professors for college of teachers education within one month beginning from March 15.

ANCSU made this appeal to the secretary of Higher and Technical Education.

ANCSU has also expressed dismay by the department’s inaction towards the nodal cell, which was notified for establishment dated October 25, 2019. “While the student awaits to see the functioning of nodal cell, the department has not implemented the nodal cell till date although a common scholarship portal was introduced,” the representation jointly appended by the union vice president Inato Y Chisho and the education secretary Keneitsituo Kense stated.

The union, therefore, demanded the department to make the nodal cell functional within a period of one-month with effect from March 15.
