Diphu, Sep.13 (EMN): Former Defense Secretary of disbanded armed organisation of United Peoples Democratic Solidarity (UPDS) and present Ex- UPDS welfare society, Ananda Terang breath his last after battling of prolong illness at his own resident at Chephongsajir. He was 56, when died.
Deceased Terang was suffering from diabetic and was undergoing treatment at different hospitals, but ultimately succumbed to the disease. Late Terang was one among the signatory members of the signing of MoS by UPDS with Central government on November 25, 2011.
Chairman, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) and also former general secretary, UPDS Horensing Bey paid his last respect to late Terang at his mortal remains at Chephongsajir. In his condolence message Chairman Bey said late Terang and he has work together in the organisation. Late Terang has contributed to the cause of Karbi society and was one among the signatory members in the signing of MoS by UPDS in the Central government in 2011. His dead is a great loss to the community. His unfulfilled dreams need to be fulfilled through a joint effort all that is in the MoS accord, Bey said. He left behind son and two daughters. Funeral service will be held today morning at the deceased’s resident and will be buried at City Baptist Church cremation ground, here.
