DIMAPUR — Anamika Borah, a 21-year-old fifth semester zoology student at DCB Girls’ College, Jorhat, was crowned Dabur Gulabari Miss Assam 2023 on October 20 at the Ambiance Banquet, Guwahati.
According to a press release, Rhea Borah, 24, a student pursuing her master’s degree in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, was named first runner-up while Bhiolina Boro, 21, a B.Com. fifth semester student at Gauhati Commerce College, was named second runner-up along with Miss Talent.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Brazilian supermodel Cristiane Rodrigues, reigning Miss Northeast 2022 and Femina Miss India Meghalaya 2023 Irene Dkhar, founder and creative director of Wing Model Management Delhi Nilaiwung, and eminent actor and theatre personality from Assam Kopil Bora were among the jury members.
The host for the night was Assamese actor Udayan Duarah, and the show curator, creative director, choreographer, and mentor was supermodel and Mister International India 2012, Opangtongdang Jamir.
The Miss Assam 2023 and first runner-up will represent Assam at the upcoming Miss Northeast 2023 competition, which will be held in Sikkim on November 5, according to director and founder of Miss Assam, Shyamaga Kashyap, and co-director Akumnaro Imsong, who is also a former Miss Nagaland, Miss Mokokchung, and Mega Miss Northeast.
Anthony was the official videographer, and Jeremy Hauhnar was the official photographer for the event.
