Dimapur, Sep. 9 (EMN): Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) under the department of Social Welfare, Jalukie, organised a block-level anaemia awareness and screening camp at Heningkunglwa village council hall in Peren district on September 8 with CDPO Jalukie, Namhuheing, as the resource person.
The objective of the camp was to impart knowledge about anaemia among the community. The camp was organised as part of month-long celebration of Poshan Maah, which is being observed during the month of September, a DIPR report stated.
Before the screening camp, a short programme was held wherein CDPO Jalukie highlighted the action plan, target group, goals and objectives of Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2021. In this connection, he sought cooperation from village councils, AWWs and stakeholders in order to ensure successful implementation of the month-long celebration programme.
He also stressed on the importance of keeping one’s health fit and balanced and also spoke on the need to stay hygienic. Further, the CDPO encouraged the gathering to consume nutritious diet for a healthy life.
The district programme assistant of PMMVY, Peren, also gave a brief highlight about Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandhana Yojana (PMMVY). The programme was chaired by supervisor, Jalukie, Kalivi Zhimomi.
