Bhopal, August 18 (IANS): BJP President Amit Shah on Friday set the Madhya Pradesh BJP a target of winning 200 seats in next year’s assembly elections and all the 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state in 2019, sources said.
Shah was addressing a gathering of BJP MLAs, MPs and other office bearers of Madhya Pradesh.
Shah also asked the BJP leaders not to accept donations in black money but through cheques and drafts.
Earlier, the BJP President arrived in Bhopal on a three-day visit to the state. He was welcomed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state BJP Chief Nand Kumar Chouhan, BJP General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and National Vice President Prabhat Jha.
Shah expressed his displeasure at the long welcoming ceremony, a source said. He also told the BJP leaders not to leak details of the meeting.
Shah also unveiled a statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. He is slated to meet ministers of the party-led state government.
