Ambulance service launched in Chumoukedima

Dimapur, June 7 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan on Monday launched an ambulance service at Chumoukedima Town Council (CTC). 

The DC expressed his appreciation to CTC for coming up with the’ initiative and for managing to set up an ambulance service in such a short notice’, an update informed.

The ambulance was donated by Altrura Society to be used temporarily during the pandemic.

The DC also thanked the society for their generosity for coming forward to collaborate with CTC. He expressed hope that the ambulance service would go a long way in serving the people of Chumoukedima area.  He reiterated that the district task force was doing its best to ensure that all citizens, be it rural or urban, have access to good health care and medical facilities.  

According to EAC and administrator Chumukedima Town Council, Seyiekhrietuo Solo, minor repairs including building a partitioning wall for driver safety was done with the help of 4×4 Attitude, while Chumoukedima Chamber Commerce and Trade Association donated brand new tires. It said that Town Baptist Church Chumoukedima also ‘generously donated towards the cause’. Little Hut, a delivery service provider, also came forward to collaborate with Chumoukedima Town Council in managing the ambulance service, it added.
