AMBBA lists bodybuilders for national championship

IMPHAL — The All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA) has named 25 athletes for the 14th Men’s Junior/Masters/Divyang/Junior Men’s and Women’s Sports Model Physique, Ladies Women’s Sports Model Physique and Ladies Women’s Swim Suit National Championship 2024, which will be held in Tamil Nadu from February 23 to the 25th.

The list of bodybuilders includes Moirangthem Rahul (55 kg), RK Athoiba (55 kg), Dingku Khoirom (60 kg), Anoubam Sushilkumar (60 kg), Haobam Ariya (65 kg), Phandom Arun (65 kg), Sinam Momocha (70 kg), Thokchom Yaisana (70 kg), Keithellakpam Malemnganba (75 kg), Yumnam Thomas (75 kg), Khangembam Rishikanta (+75 kg) and Chingkheinganba Athokpam (+75 kg), junior men’s bodybuilding. 

Thongam Debataji (-80 kg), Goutam Laishram (+80 kg) and Robert Leishangthem (+80 kg), for Masters 40-50 years.

In the Masters 50-60 years, the athletes are Heisnam Flood (open) and for Divyang, Arveenkumar Oinamcha (open),

Nelson Thounaojam, Paotam Vashum andW Boicha (Junior Men’s Sports Physique); Soyaola A Shatsang, Zenika Naorem, Leishimi Raihing, Chingri Khapai Shimrah and Pemyami Zimik (Junior Women Model Physique).

The team will be led by N Ratan and Y Sunanta as coach and team manager, respectively.

Meanwhile, Maibam Robert who won the title of the 61st Mr Manipur was accorded a warm reception by the Kakching District Body Builders’ Association (KDBBA) at the multipurpose hall of Kha Manipur College, Kakching on Sunday.
