Amazon launches new Prime Video Mobile Edition at INR 599 per year

In a move to expand its mobile userbase, Amazon has introduced a mobile version of Prime Video that costs less than half as much as the desktop version.

Amazon’s upcoming Prime Video Mobile Edition can be subscribed to annually through the firm’s website or Android app, according to a statement from the company.

Although it has fewer features, the Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition is still adequate for consumers to enjoy Prime Videos. In comparison to a monthly membership of INR 179 or a yearly subscription of INR 1499, Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition costs only INR 599.

“Prime Video mobile edition is a major step towards making premium entertainment across languages as ubiquitous as smartphones in the country,” Amazon added.

The Prime Video Mobile version offers consumers standard definition (SD) quality streaming and allows them access to Prime Video’s enormous library of Indian and foreign films, Amazon Originals, live cricket, and many more options.

On the other hand, the standard Prime subscription gives you unlimited access to the service across all of your devices. The Mobile Edition of Prime Video is only designed for smartphones, however, the standard Prime subscription can be viewed on a TV, desktop, or mobile device.
