Mokokchung, April 22 (EMN): The Adventure and Motorsports Association of Mokokchung (Amam) will be hosting the 5th edition of the Mokokchung Auto/MotoX and Moatsu Sprint from May 2 to 4.
Speaking to media persons during a press conference at B&W Restaurant, Amam officials said that the event would be held at Yimchalu village, some 15 km away from Mokokchung town.
The organisers are expecting participants from all the Northeast states, Delhi besides competitors from across the state. Amam officials further informed that Mokokchung AutoX and Moatsu Sprint is part of the Northeast Championship Ranking (Round Four).
It was informed that the competition for Autocross and Sprint would be held in three classes viz. below 1300cc, above 1300cc and SUV category. Motocross would be held in two classes expert and novice.
The total cash prize for the winners would be INR 3.5 lakh along with trophy and certificates. The three-day event is sponsored by Team Champions, Elmer Enterprises, Nagaland Mineral & Mine/ CSR and PowerCem.
