Dimapur, Oct.16 (EMN): President of Nagaland Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and minister of Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along, has expressed concern over migration of non-Naga traders with complaints of their difficulties in Nagaland, while he instilled confidence by persuading them to accept each other, be with each other and think for each other as Indians.

Along stated this during the Diwali Mela organised by the Lions Club of Dimapur at Lions Centre, Midland, on October16 as the special guest. Addressing the gathering at the Diwali Mela, Along reminded the inevitable difficulties that one faces in life. He, therefore, encouraged the gathering to always strive and make their “karm bhumi (work land)” better.

Observing that many non-Naga traders have migrated from Nagaland and set up units in places such Khatkhati and Diphu, he queried their fear and the circumstances leading them to leave the state. On the contrary, he persuaded the gathering and the communities in the state to accept each other, be with each other and think for each other as Indians.

Along remarked that Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of India and not just for BJP. He added that India never had a visionary leader of his stature before.

“He is known by all and people from every corner of the country. Trust him, he is the biggest servant of the nation,” he affirmed.

Lauding the Lions Club for always being with the people of Dimapur during difficulties especially during the COVID pandemic, where people were benefitted and inspired by their good works, he expressed his respect towards the club to which he is also a member. He encouraged them to do good work not just to get recognition.

The state BJP president has conveyed Diwali greetings and reminded the community that Diwali is a festival of lights that dispel darkness. He further called upon the community not to just lighten up their own homes but reach out to the people in need and help fill their lives with a ray of light.
